Pesci Che Volano is a collection of small sculptures, characters and stories, all created by hand in Florence.
Designed by artist Elena, each piece begins as a tiny wax model before being transformed into metal through the ancient lost-wax casting process. Bronze, enamel and selected silver finishes bring the characters to life, giving every piece its own texture, expression and personality.
The collection draws inspiration from the sea, mythology, nature and the wonderfully imperfect character of people. Mermaids, fish, sea creatures, hearts and curious little figures appear throughout the designs, some with a known story and others left open to interpretation.
That is part of what makes Pesci so special. Customers are often drawn to a particular character because it reminds them of a person, a place or something within themselves.
Importante first brought Pesci Che Volano to Australia and New Zealand in 2016, after Giuliana discovered the Ischia Ring while travelling in Italy and later visited Elena in Florence.
Since then, the collection has continued to grow, along with a very loyal following. Many customers start with one piece, then another, and before long become slightly addicted to building their own Pesci family.
It is jewellery, but it is also miniature sculpture, storytelling and wearable art.
Pesci is easiest to share when you begin with the character of the collection rather than simply describing it as jewellery.
Every design starts with Elena’s hands, first as a wax sculpture and then as a finished piece made through the ancient lost-wax casting process.

Pesci pieces are handmade to order in Florence.
Standard production time is approximately 6–8 weeks from confirmation, depending on the design, materials and workshop schedule.

Yes. The minimum opening order for Pesci Che Volano is $1,500.
Pesci is not ordered in packs, this allows stockists to create a balanced selection across rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets and accessories. You can select individual designs, finishes and quantities to build a collection that suits your store.
Yes. There is no minimum for top-up orders after the opening order.
Top-ups can be supplied from Sydney stock where available, or made to order in Florence.

Lost-wax casting is an ancient jewellery-making technique.
The design is first sculpted by hand in wax. A mould is formed around the sculpture, the wax is melted away and the empty space is filled with metal.
This process allows Elena’s original sculptural details to become part of the finished piece.

Some Pesci rings and bracelets are made in fixed sizes, while others are one size.

Adjustable bronze rings and bracelets must be handled gently.
Bronze is strong, but it can break if it is forced, opened too far or repeatedly bent backwards and forwards.
Adjust the piece slowly and only as much as needed. Once the correct fit is found, avoid opening and closing it each time it is worn.

The personalised collection allows customers to build their own piece by combining charms and spacers with selected bracelets, chains and cuffs.

All charms in the personalised collection are designed to fit the custom bracelets, chains and custom cuffs.
The only exception is a charm with “earrings” in the product name. These are designed specifically for earrings and will not fit the other personalised pieces.
Yes. Compatible charms can be added to the custom bracelets, chains and cuffs, allowing customers to change the combination over time.
This also makes the collection easy to build gradually, adding new characters and symbols as they discover them.
No. Only charms without “earrings” in the product name will fit the custom bracelets, chains and cuffs.

- protect enamel from hard knocks and abrasive surfaces

- wear bronze pieces regularly, as contact with the skin often helps maintain their shine
Yes. Bronze is a living material and naturally changes over time.
It may darken, warm in colour or become shinier depending on the wearer’s skin pH, environment and how often the piece is worn.
Everyone’s skin chemistry is different.
The natural pH and oils of the skin can affect how the bronze develops. On one person it may become brighter, while on another it may deepen in colour.
This reaction is normal.
