A WALK IN MELBOURNE: The Thread Continues
After Threads, we thought we’d rest for a moment - until life reminded us that stories rarely pause when we expect them to!
Some of our pieces were stolen after the Threads photoshoot and for a while, it felt like the thread had been cut. But, as always, it found a way to continue.
The walk unfolded - as it always does - without a script.
Guided by familiar faces who carried our story forward, and joined by new ones who added their own layers. Giorgia walked alongside Lynda and JayJay, continuing the story in her own way.
Through Melbourne’s laneways, cafés, and theatres, the spirit of Threads lived on.
A city full of contrasts — quiet corners and busy streets, old walls and new ideas — became the backdrop for a story that simply refused to end.
Not everyone could be there, but the same hands and hearts that built it from the start kept it moving.

The Continuation
Threads began as a story about connection
Connection between artisans, creators, and the boutiques that carry their work.
In Melbourne, that connection deepened.
What started in Positano, Naples, Florence, Poland, and Austria found new meaning in another city, another light, another rhythm.

Threads : A Walk in Melbourne
When creativity is shared, it never stops.
" It changes form, it travels, it keeps moving - just like we did that day "
reflections
“I couldn’t be in Melbourne this time - life had other plans. But watching Giorgia, Lynda, and JayJay bring it to life reminded me what Importante has always been about - people, connection, and stories that keep going even when we pause.”
Giuliana
“It felt special to be part of something Mum started - to walk through Melbourne, such a European city here in Australia, and connect with the creative minds and amazing personalities of Lynda and JayJay. You could feel how it all connects.”
Giorgia
“When things don’t go as planned, that’s when creativity really starts. This shoot had that kind of freedom - spontaneous, real, and full of energy.”
Lynda
“There’s something grounding about walking - it slows you down enough to really see what’s around you.”
